How we protect your privacy and data
Privacy Policy
Last Updated: May 13, 2026
BeautiCode is owned and operated by Profitatelier, an independent software studio based in the Republic of Korea. For the purposes of the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and equivalent data-protection laws, Profitatelier is the data controller for the personal data described below and can be contacted at profitatelier@gmail.com.
This Privacy Policy explains how we handle data for privacy-first developer tools that run in your browser, plus optional analytics, advertising cookies, local preferences, and privacy requests.
Our featured developer tools (JSON formatter, CSV/XML/YAML utilities, Base64 and URL codecs, hash/HMAC/JWT tools, regex tester, image optimization, and similar) run entirely in your browser. When you use these tools:
- Input data stays on your device — we never receive it
- No information about the content you process is sent to our servers
- No personal information is required or collected to use them
You can verify this by opening your browser's DevTools Network tab while using any of these tools — you will see zero data payloads uploaded.
- Tool input: not retained by BeautiCode because featured tools run locally in your browser and do not upload your payloads to our servers.
- Local preferences: theme, recent-tool shortcuts, and cookie choices may remain in your browser until you clear site data or reset preferences.
- Contact emails: retained only as long as needed to answer your request, handle corrections, or maintain a reasonable support record.
Regardless of where you live, you can exercise the following rights over the data we may hold about you:
- Request a copy of personal data associated with your contact request
- Request correction of any inaccurate information
- Request deletion of support or correction-request records where legally allowed
- Withdraw consent for optional processing (analytics, advertising)
To exercise any of these rights, email us at profitatelier@gmail.com from the email address related to your request. We respond within 30 days.
Right to lodge a complaint. If you believe we have processed your personal data unlawfully, you may file a complaint with a data-protection supervisory authority. EU/EEA residents may contact the authority in their member state. Residents of the Republic of Korea may contact the Personal Information Protection Commission (PIPC) via pipc.go.kr.
Where the GDPR applies, we rely on the following legal bases when we process personal data:
- Consent (Art. 6(1)(a)): for analytics cookies and advertising cookies, which load only after you accept them in our cookie banner or Cookie Settings page.
- Legitimate interests (Art. 6(1)(f)): for answering support emails, handling correction requests, maintaining basic site security, and keeping the service available.
- Legal obligation (Art. 6(1)(c)): where we must retain or disclose data to comply with applicable law.
The developer tools that run entirely in your browser do not transmit input data to us and therefore do not require any legal basis under the GDPR — no personal data is processed by us in those tools.
Profitatelier is based in the Republic of Korea, and our service infrastructure and key sub-processors may be located outside the EU/EEA, the UK, or your country of residence. When personal data is transferred internationally, we rely on:
- The European Commission's adequacy decision for the Republic of Korea (Dec. 2021) for transfers to our Korean operations.
- Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs) or equivalent safeguards published by Google for transfers carried out through Google Analytics and Google AdSense.
- Your explicit consent for optional cookie-based services where required by local law.
You can request a copy of the relevant transfer mechanism by emailing profitatelier@gmail.com.
If analytics is enabled for the site and you allow analytics cookies, we may use Google Analytics to collect aggregated usage statistics. This helps us understand how users interact with our website and improve our services. The information collected may include:
- Pages visited
- Time spent on the website
- Browser and device information
- Geographic region (country level only)
Google Analytics may use cookies to collect this information. You can opt out by choosing Essential Only in Cookie Settings or by using browser extensions like the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.
BeautiCode may load the Google AdSense site connection script to connect the site with our publisher account, support site review, and enable basic ad serving if ads are approved. If advertising is enabled for the site, we may display limited advertisements through Google AdSense to keep our tools free. Google and other third-party vendors may use cookies, web beacons, or IP addresses to serve ads, measure ad performance, and help prevent fraud. Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads based on your visit to our site and/or other sites on the internet.
You may opt out of personalized advertising by visiting Google's Ad Settings. For more information about how Google uses data when you use partners' sites or apps, visit How Google uses information from sites or apps that use its services.
We use your browser's local storage to save your preferences and recently used tools. This data is stored exclusively on your device and is not accessible to us. You can clear this data at any time through your browser settings.
Our website may contain links to third-party websites or services. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of these external sites. We encourage you to read the privacy policies of any third-party services you visit.
Our service is not directed to individuals under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided us with personal information, please contact us.
We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page. You are advised to review this Privacy Policy periodically for any changes.
